Steve First Review

Up until recently I've been working with square blocks representing frames. I am now experimenting with alternative frames that change in scale from smaller to larger. These types of frames can interlock and connect in different ways allowing exaggerated views and spatial interactions. Here are a few images of the paper models used to experiment with different angles and connections.

This image explains the reasoning behind the different
angles created by the shape of the paper models.
One is focused specifically to the sky while the others
are geared toward other views such as low level aircraft
as well as boats, cars, people and other grounded elements.

This image describes the different types of transportation
and the vantage points that are allowed because of them.

These next images are geared toward views from the site.
Views either to the airport, the horizon/ocean and back
toward Boston.

After talking on February 1st. I think these paper models are less
successful than the original red plastic and wood models. I think the
other models describe the separation between frames better than these
models. My next step will be trying to figure out how the space between
can alternate and become more playful in terms of organizing sequence
and separating frames.
