3D Material Studies

The following models area a conintuation of my 2D material studies.  I feel that these models were not as successful as the previous 2D models due to the fact that of not being able to zoom in and limiting the light like I could in the 2D.

In the 3D corrugated plastic models I created them in diffent widths.  They were .5 in, 1 in, and 2 in. Through these i was able to see the different effects that they created at different widths.  The model provided and interesting play of rhythm with the other pieces of corruagted plastic as you move past it.

The plexi and gesso 3D model created a different effect.  The plexi and gesso combination created a relective material instead of a translucent piece that It did before.

The gesso and screen 3D model did not provide any effect due to the inability to concentrate light through it.

The foam 3D model provided a very faint interesting filter of light.  The inability to focus closer restricted me from creating the same effect that I created in the 2D models.

The mixture of Gesso and Screen with the relflective was interesting by creating these moments of the pieces of screen relecting creating an illusion that the piece was continuing.
